On 8th January an online meeting was held between National Health Committee and Community-based Health Organisations such as Myanmar Nursing and Midwifery Society, Chin Health Organization, Chindwin Medical and Humanitarian Network, Heart Land Union, Medical Family Mandalay, and University of Medicine Magway Alumni.
Opening addresses were made by Adviser to the National Health Committee, Dr. Cynthia Maung, National Health Committee Chairman, Pado Mahn Mahn, and Deputy Chairman (1), Dr. Zaw Wai Soe. This was followed by introduction of the National Health Committee members to the meeting delegates.
Members of the Community-based Health Organisations then presented the healthcare work that is being done in various regions of Myanmar which was followed by amicable discussions of the National Health Committee members.
The meeting was attended by seventy delegates representing the National Health Committee, the Ministry of Health, National Unity Government, healthcare representatives from States/Federal units and the Community-based Health Organisations and other invited guests.
